The Heartland Board of REALTORS®, an association of real estate professionals, is one of the nearly 1,600 real estate boards in the country which make up the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the largest trade association in the world.
Established during the 1920’s, the Heartland Board of REALTORS® has over 200 members dedicated to serving the needs of home sellers and buyers in Hancock and Wyandot Counties and the surrounding area, including Fostoria, Tiffin, and Ottawa.
By serving the needs of its members, we offer a wide variety of continuing education programs. The board encourages its members to strive for the highest degree of professionalism in the industry.
To facilitate home sales, the board operates a highly efficient, computerized Multiple Listing Service (MLS) with which a home can be effectively marketed to REALTOR® members.
In addition to providing education and marketing tools to its members, the board also enforces the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS® which each REALTOR® subscribes to when joining the association.
Through political action and legislative committees, members work behind the scenes to protect the rights of all property owners from excessive taxes, inequitable rules and unfair legislation on all levels from local to state to federal.
The Heartland Board of REALTORS® exists to help people realize the American Dream of owning a home. That’s why the board is “The Trusted Voice of Real Estate”.
